ANZAC Day

Room 8 has been learning about ANZAC day this week. Today, we went to a school ANZAC ceremony in the hall. We had soldiers visit and talk to us, we sang the national anthem and listened to the last post in silence. All of the teachers were very impressed at how respectfully the Hampden Street students behaved. After the ceremony, we laid our wreath with the white crosses to show that we are thinking about fallen soldiers who gave their lives for us.
